Titanfall is one of my favourite game franchises, and I have been wanted to do the gun render from the game for a long time. I really wanted to push myself with this, and try to create a render that is complex in modelling, and in the texturing. After looking at a lot of Titanfall guns, I found a concept image made by Danny Gardner, of the C.A.R SMG from Titanfall 1, so it began. I tried to capture as much of the detail as i could just through the mesh, then add in the smaller details like screws and bolts later with texturing. Overall I love the outcome, and the total time taken was (roughly) 18 hours, although I was just working casually.
